After the SUCCESS of Fitbit Blaze smartwatch release in 2016, now Fitbit is working on their new Fitbit Blaze version 2 (not officially named yet!).
No one can disagree that, Fitbit had a great year by acquiring the world’s first smartwatch producer Pebble, Vector watch, London-based COIN payment technology with 85% fitness tracker market share by beating Apple and Xiaomi.

It took them 12 years to beat the tech mogul Apple Inc in a tech platform, which is a huge challenge. But still, they did a great job with their “not giving up” attitude, and releasing new fitness trackers like Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Alta 2 in the first quarter.
Fitbit also sold 58 percent more units in the first quarter this year, compared to the same period last year.
Since, Apple is already preparing for their next version Apple watch three by this year end, Fitbit, likely to announce their newer smartwatches before the second-half of this year with high-end features like AMOLED touchscreen, contactless payment, accuracy in fitness tracking, stylish look, good battery backup.
Also, they are not leaving the Pebble alone, a new product line of pebble with vector watch mash up and Uber Pebble will be a surprise for those smartwatch lovers.
In an interview, James Park, Fitbit CEO, said, He wants to build a Fitbit app store as soon as possible. Industry leaders see this as a Fitbit’s answer to the monopoly Apple store.
It looks like a wearable market is started to see some original competition after all. Not so, good news for Apple and other smart watch makers, but it surely a great news for the end users!
